TAPE IT–ABQ is led by John Forbes, an international producer, director, actor, and acting coach with over 35 years of professional experience across Broadway, Off-Broadway, Television, Film, and global markets.
Classically trained at San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theater, John continues to work consistently on stage and screen, with credits including Better Call Saul, The Maggie Moore(s), The Resident, GRIMM, and recent projects in India, including an upcoming feature film and an Amazon Prime series.
As an acting teacher and on-camera coach, John has trained actors across six U.S. markets and three countries, helping them book roles on major productions such as American Horror Story, Better Call Saul, Dark Winds, 1923, Magnum P.I., The Cleaning Lady, and The Resident, as well as feature films, commercials, and independent projects. John specializes in stage-to-screen transitions, working professional auditions, and mastering self-tapes for network and streaming platforms—with a proven record of results.
